The reTyre system revolves around a specially designed smooth-tread tire that attaches to the bike in the standard way. While that base tire can be used for riding, it can also accept an ever-widening range of zip-on rubber treads that can be installed in seconds. The tread selection includes a knobby skin and a carbide-studded winter model, and the team plans to extend the line to include smart tires with embedded electronics and options with recyclable rubber.
