Tsunami Survival Pod

Tsunami Survival Pod
Sep-20-12
The Tsunami Survival Pod created by houseboat-builder Matt Duncan can accommodate four people for up to 2.5 hours.

Duncan crafted the pod using the same spiral-weld technique used on his business’s steel-hulled houseboats. The spiral weld is strong enough to hold up to the impacts of massive debris while the streamlined design helps prevent the pod from being snagged or trapped underwater. The four passengers are secured in molded racing seats with five-point safety harnesses, and a flashing beacon on the unit helps guide rescuers to the pod.
