Vibrating Lully Prevents Night Terrors

Vibrating Lully Prevents Night Terrors
Mar-09-15
The Lully helps children—and their parents—get a better night's sleep by stopping night terrors before they can begin.

The Lully system consists of an iOS smartphone app and a vibrating pod meant to be placed beneath the child's mattress. It works by "scheduling awakenings" that partially wake the child from deep sleep before the night terrors can begin. After the parent has answered four questions about their child's night terror pattern, the device's algorithm creates a plan that determines when the adult should turn on the Lully via the app. The Lully will then vibrate for three minutes, rousing the child somewhat before they can fall into night terror sleep.

According to the team, the Lully will only need to be turned on once a night, and always before 11 p.m.
