ViScope Features Visual Display and Heart Murmur Indicator

Jan-27-14 The ViScope MD digital stethoscope is equipped with a visual display and the world’s first heart murmur indicator, designed to help physicians pinpoint sounds of potential cardiac issues.

The ViScope works in the same way as a conventional stethoscope, but also features a screen that will display the phonocardiogram of the patient’s heartbeat, allowing a measure of visual confirmation. More exciting may be its embedded algorithm, which allows physicians to screen for heart mummers quickly. The ViScope is equipped with a tuneable filter for listening to specific parts of the heart sound, and it can also be used with an external amplifier to for teaching or consulting sessions.
