Winbot 7 Uses Suction to Clean Thicker Windows

Winbot 7 Uses Suction to Clean Thicker Windows
Jan-15-13
The Winbot 7 window cleaning robot uses suction to attach to the glass, which allows it to clean windows of any thickness.

Unlike most window cleaning robots that rely on magnets to adhere to the window glass, the Winbot 7 is secured through a pair of concentric suction rings. One it is attached to the window and turned on, it will map out the area to determine the most efficient cleaning path. The front cleaning pad moistens and loosens the dirt, the Squeegee draws off the dirt and dampness and the rear cleaning pad dries the glass.

A safety pod for use during exterior, above ground window cleaning connects to the robot by its power cord to prevent it from falling more than a few feet.
