If you’re young, inventive, creative and have a brain the size of a planet then consider turning your talents and smarts to help improve the world.
The InnoApps Challenge is a four-month pan-European contest for young developers to create Windows Phone app to help others.
New apps are wanted that promote social inclusion and help society benefit from technology. The deadline for submissions is 8 September. The challenge competition is also awarding a Female Developer Prize to encourage more girls to engage with technology.
Focused Thinking
To help guide thinking and ideas, participants are being given three topic themes to inspire them. They are:
E-skills – apps to help people improve their e-skills which employers are now demanding more of.
Entrepreneurship – apps that would help foster more of an entrepreneurial mindset to encourage people to be more creative, less risk averse and better equipped to spot opportunities.
E-participation – smart ways to include all generations and all European cultures in the modern digital world.

Six finalists will be invited to take part in the finals in Brussels where they will pitch their ideas to the jury. Their travel and accommodation expenses will be paid for.
