Fundageek is a relatively new crowdfunding platform for technical innovations, enabling inventors, software developers, and engineers to secure the backing they need to breathe life into their bright ideas.
Inventors Receive Funding Without Incurring Debt
The new platform operates in the same way as many other funding sites that we’ve seen appear over the years. Those seeking capital upload details of their project, set a funding goal and deadline, and outline a reward for donors. Then they can actively market their funding page to their network of friends and contacts and the wider public in general.
Among the ideas and concepts currently seeking funds are a fly zapper in a trash can lid, a hinging device that allows containers or objects with lids or doors to be accessed from many sides and angles, and an app for residential communities to take control of their finances.
Many brilliant ideas never see the light of day, and lack of funding is often a significant factor. The new website is giving a very pubic platform to projects from all areas – for example, bio-tech, education, inventions, renewable energy, research, robotics, smart phone apps, and more – so they can be seen and supported by a global audience of micro-investors.
