The Story:
Innovative Pressure Testing Device Paragon Automation has recently developed an innovative electronic pressure testing device for use in testing pipeline pressure. The stand-alone unit has an LCD screen on which the measurements are displayed, negating the need to connect it to a computer.

The small Utah company is owned and operated by Greg Gardner, and specializes in oil & gas automation and instrumentation, and gas flow meter installation and calibrations.

The company claims to be the only business in the area capable of calibrating and repairing chart recorders for gas measurement or pressure testing.

Other solutions and services they provide are:

  • Calibration services to meet BLM requirements on chart recorders or electronic gas flow meters

  • Well-head automation and control

  • Complete SCADA with on-site monitoring and control that collects and displays data on any computer at any location

  • Customized programming solutions

  • Compressor monitoring

  • Monitoring and alarming with voice call-out over the telephone


Paragon recently won $23,000 in Utah's "Concept to Company" energy innovations contest for their pressure testing device.
