AQUAIR Harvests Water from Fog

AQUAIR Harvests Water from Fog
Oct-25-17
The student-designed AQUAIR fog harvesting device captures drinking water from the air.

The AQUAIR was developed by students from National Cheng Kung University for use in mountainous areas at tropical latitudes. Still in the working prototype phase, the AQUAIR consists of a waterproof, mesh fabric stretched over a frame to collect water vapor. The collected liquid is drawn down a tube into a bucket with aid from a small gravity-powered fan and centrifuge, and the entire system is designed to be easy to set up and repair.
