BrakePack Signals Cyclists' Turns Automatically

BrakePack Signals Cyclists' Turns Automatically
May-21-15
The BrakePack combines safety and storage by integrating pre-programmed LED turn indicators into the pack itself.

Still in the prototype phase, the BrakePack connects to a companion app via Bluetooth to provide automatic signaling without the rider needing to take their hands off the handlebars. As the cyclist moves along their programmed route, the system will detect upcoming turns and trigger the arrow-shaped LED lights on the front straps and back side of the pack to flash accordingly. The LEDs can also be triggered manually, and a built-in accelerometer will detect when the cyclists slows and illuminate the red brake lights at the top and bottom of the pack.
