Fingersound Ring Promises Subtle Device Command

Fingersound Ring Promises Subtle Device Command
Dec-01-17
The Fingersound ring invention from Georgia Tech lets users control their devices with subtle thumb motions.

The Fingersound ring was created to offer an unobtrusive way for people to control their digital devices. To that end, the thumb-worn ring relies on an array of onboard microphones and gyroscopes able to detect the sound and motion of the ring moving on the palm, translating pre-determined symbols and characters into commands for a paired device.
