Ford Headlight System Remembers the Roads

Jul-20-15 The Advanced Front Lighting System from Ford would allow cars to “remember” the roads they’ve travelled and adjust their headlights for optimum visibility.

Using a network of GPS signals, an infrared camera and traffic sign recognition, the headlight system can interpret signs and remember curves, allowing it to illuminate hazards not necessary in direct view of the headlights. As the vehicle travels the roads, the Advanced Front Lighting System learns the specific twists and bends of the route, and will automatically adjust the headlights for the best visibility.
