HeartRead AED Encourages Bystanders to Help

HeartRead AED Encourages Bystanders to Help
Apr-20-15
The HeartRead AED helps save lives by making it easier for bystanders to find and use the device.

The HeartRead AED is the first that would be linked to the 911 system to make the units easier to locate, with a call to 911 alerting the operator to send medical help as well as activate the nearby AEDs. To help bystanders overcome their fear of making a mistake, the HeartRead AEDs also include clear, step-by-step visual and audio instructions, and the system itself is able to analyze whether a shock is necessary—freeing the user from that crucial decision.
