The Moxy Monitor measures less than three inches square, and is meant to be placed so that its LEDS and light detectors make contact with the skin. As the athlete works out, the device transmits near infrared light into the muscle tissue in order to determine the blood saturation levels, before the athlete hits the wall. The monitor is also rugged enough to be used in all types of sports, including motorcross and swimming.
