Radinn Electric Wakeboard Needs No Boat

Radinn Electric Wakeboard Needs No Boat
Sep-30-14
The remote-controlled Radinn electric wakeboard lets you leave the boat behind—and makes riding on the water a bit more eco-friendly.

Still in its prototype version, the carbon fiber board is equipped with a battery powered, salt water-resistant propulsion system. The lithium battery pack can be removed for recharging—or swapped for fully charged battery on the spot—and the entire device weighs about 64 pounds. A wireless, waterproof remote controls the board's speed, which currently tops out at 29 mph (the commercial version should travel much faster), and a single charge will last between 20 to 60 minutes, depending upon the speed.
