This invention is a non-invasive, in-vivo instrument for detecting, classifying, and sizing gaseous emboli. Gaseous emboli are nitrogen bubbles that travel through the human circulation system and eventually obstruct blood flow. This technology is capable of distinguishing between gaseous and non-gaseous emboli.
