Gear Bearings (GSC-14207)

Abstract:
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) seeks partners to bring new gear technologies to the commercial marketplace. Developed by Goddard Space Flight Center, these technologies can be applied to most gear types, including spur, helical, elliptical, and bevel gears. Goddard’s innovative designs combine gear and bearing functions to reduce weight, parts count, size, and cost associated with conventional gearsets.
