The Schindler Global Award Deadline: 2019-01-31
Award: $105,000
Open to: University Students*

The SGA is a one-of-a-kind urban design competition that encourages students to put their skills to the test. As the second largest city in the world, Mumbai presents many challenges, offering participating students the chance to engage with spatial, social and strategic topics.

Mumbai requires integrated and sustainable urban systems that make the benefits of the city accessible to all its inhabitants. The megacity is also a benchmark for South Asia and beyond. How it approaches continuing growth and manages development processes is relevant at every scale, from neighborhood to national and global.

Participation is open to students in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and planning programs, enrolled in their final bachelor degree year or any masters degree year. Students can participate individually or in teams, and each entry must have a faculty supervisor.

An international jury of renowned experts will evaluate the entries and allocate awards, with a total prize sum of USD 105,000.

* Details may apply. See contest website to confirm eligibility.
