Brett Poulis's Problem Solving Experience:
- Purification, identification, and characterization of antifungal and antibacterial compounds present in plant secretions. I was the lead researcher.
- Modeling the interaction of the cationic peptide BMAP-18 with the surface of African trypanosomes. I was one of the lead researchers.
- Attachment of biologically active compounds onto nanosurfaces for unique applications such as biosensors employing antibody-antigen interactions, biomaterial optimization, and high-throughput protein microarrays and purifications. I was one of the lead researchers in this effort.
