Designed a electric shaker for my previous employer to save time and effort. The company applied polyurethane coatings which required pigmentation. The pigment required shaking before mixing with the resin to ensure homogenization. Because no shaker existed and hand shaking took time and effort, I designed and fabricated a simple shaker to solve the problem. It consisted of a metal frame to hold the pigment container which was attached via link rod to a wheel. The other end of the frame attached to a pivot, and when the electric motor turned the wheel the frame holding the container would oscillate, effectively mixing the pigment.
