David Hieronymus
The study of mathematics is in essence the study of problem solving. The field of applied math encompasses diverse range of topics, and allows me to model and optimize many situations. It has taught me to utilize logical deduction and abstract thought. This combined with my strong work ethic and organizational skills makes me a great candidate to help solve a wide range of problems.

Areas David Hieronymus is Knowledgeable in:

My strongest area is applied mathematics, which can be used in countless field and problems including physics, engineering, chemistry and more.
I also have a strong interest in the automotive industry, from mechanical repairs and fabrication to industry trends and design.

Techniques David Hieronymus Uses:

The first step is researching the problem at hand. After gaining background knowledge, I use Graphs, Illustrations, and computer modeling allow for problem visualization. Brainstorming and making a written outline or plan is essential for a efficient and timely solution. Depending on the problem, I can generate a mathematical model and use calculus, probability, and/or other mathematics to optimize the situation or solve the problem

David Hieronymus's Problem Solving Skills:

  1. Proficiency with Mathematica, Maple, Autocad, M.S. Excell, Powerpoint and Word software
  2. Accounting experience and proficient knowledge of Quickbooks software
  3. Proficient in Multivariate Calculus, Differential Equations, Probability, Statistics, and Mathematical Physics
  4. Fabrication experience involving planning, design, metalworking, welding, and electrical wiring
  5. Ability to generate mathematical models, graphs, and presentations

David Hieronymus's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. Designed a new adjustable suspension for an individuals modified vehicle. The old suspension caused extensive binding and lacked articulation. Using trigonometry and drafting I designed a new suspension with correct pinon angle and proper articulation. I then prefabricated the suspension to save installation time, and personally welded the new suspension into place.
  2. My father purchased worm castings and several large mixing tanks to brew a fertilizer "tea". However, specific concentrations of the solutions are required for different conditions, and circulation through several tanks is required for proper homogenization. Using differential equations I was able to derive a model for concentration based on initial solute amounts and solvent flow rate. Now by controlling flow rates via valving and recirculating through several tanks a various specific concentrations can be produced with no guesswork.
  3. I recently helped a friend move, and unfortunately he could not fit all his furniture onto the rental truck. After measuring every piece of furniture and drafting a logistics layout on paper I was able to place everything inside the truck with room to spare.
  4. Streamlined accounting procedures at previous employer to resolve filling and payment errors found after a IRS audit. Utilized simple filling techniques as well as Quickbooks accounting software and online banking to save time and money. Employed printable checks to resolve payroll and payment issues.
