Laurie Cooper's Problem Solving Experience:
- - I conceived of and implemented the first live satellite media event from the top of Whistler Mountain using state-of-the-art satellite technology. We got 14 live "hits" from networks across North and Central America.
- I conceived of and sold the concept of doing a live broadcast of a national network television program from the West Coast. It had never been done before because of time zone challenges.
- I developed a public relations program for a well-known international brand that exceeded anything they had ever previously achieved in the broadcast realm.
- I worked with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists to undertake a federally-funded research project that was one of the earliest projects to use GIS technology to address land use conflicts.
