Innovative People

Ronald Ray

Ronald Ray I am a software engineer turned computational linguist focused in natural language processing (NLP) and global, 'web of data' techniques. My work recently has been in classification, keyword generation, topic identification, contextual computing, and providing web services in order to allow these services to scale to anyone who wants to use them. Examples of my work can be found in UCASTER (the Google Chrome Plugin), an NSF funded project to computationally match web pages to content in government-funded educational digital libraries.

While I am primarily interested in educational innovation, applied NLP has not come to the forefront as a technology yet. If you have a problem where you have huge piles of raw text, and no way to tackle it, I will likely be able to help you.
