SNIFF, a wireless system that would be installed in the components of the public transit systems. The system would enable passengers to connect to their co-passengers with similar inclinations/backgrounds/personal or professional attributes, using their wireless-enable notebooks/cell phones/ Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). The concept won an international Design Challenge called “Re:Route : New Thinking on Urban Transportation”. The concept was considered for implementation in the ‘sustainable city block’ the sponsors (Urban Revision, LLC) are looking to build, in year 2008.
