Software that allowed users to print envelopes on their laser printers automatically. The software monitored all print jobs and when it detected that the prin job was a letter, it would grab the address, and after the print job was done, it would format an envelope and print it on an envelope that was manually fed or from an envelope tray. This served as prior art in a patent suit between Microsoft and Arendi, where I was brought in as a fact witness for Microsoft in both the US and EU. Microsoft ended up successfully defending against a patent that Arendi had.
