I have developed an invention named “An Integrated Procedure to Translate Metabolomics Data into Metabolic Fluxes".
The invention is based on have created a comprehensive computational model and an analytical platform that can translate metabolite profiles (metabolomics) into a set of metabolic fluxes (fluxomes).
The structure of control and regulation of the metabolic network from which the metabolite profiles originated can also be determined. The model is built on a common metabolic backbone to all prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, and so it can be applied to a wide range of systems for which high throughput metabolomics is available.
