BIT Modular Lighting System Connects with Magnets

BIT Modular Lighting System Connects with Magnets
Feb-13-15
The BIT light system lets users personalize a room's lighting by rearranging the modular, magnetic bulbs.

Created by a team from Choi+Shine Architects, the BIT light modules are made up of LEDs encased in polycarbonate tubes with a magnetic connector. The modules are powered by either an external power source or an internal battery, and the power is passed between the modules via the open end of an "energized BIT." The system is wireless, and the magnetic connectors make it easy for anyone to re-arrange the lights for optimal illumination.
