Blitab Translates Text to Braille

Blitab Translates Text to Braille
Nov-15-16
The first tablet designed for the visually impaired, the Blitab tactile tablet can convert any document to Braille and display a whole page at once.

The Blitab e-reader is able to generate small bubbles on the surface to translate text into Braille, instantly. The bubbles are both haptic and sturdy enough to remain rigid when touched, and are represented on the full page, rather than bit by bit or scrolling. The Blitab team hopes to incorporate a cloud-based software service into the device, allowing the user to translate texts from various sources into Braille as desired.
