Many people in the U.K. get their household heat and hot water from boilers, and more than half have lost heating for a day over the past five years. To help catch problems early and reduce repair bills, the Boiler IQ features an array of sensors able to detect potential problems and then transmit the data remotely to British Gas, who can then send a text to the affected customer along with a setting up a repair call.
