Cabbage Project Shirt Changes Color with the Climate

Cabbage Project Shirt Changes Color with the Climate
Jun-12-17
The innovative Cabbage Project shirt changes color to illustrate the effects of climate change.

Developed by the fashion brand The Unseen, the Cabbage Project t-shirt is made of a cotton/hemp blend fabric that has been dyed with red cabbage juice. The juice is a natural pH indicator, and is purple when sent to the wearer, indicating a “perfectly balanced pH level of 7.” As the shirt is exposed to water, its color will change based on the water’s pH level, offering a visual reminder of the effects of climate change on water pollution.
