CanGaroo ECM Helps Heart Implants Heal

Jul-04-16 The CanGaroo ECM Envelope from CorMatrix helps promote the healing around implanted electronic devices by attracting the patient’s own cells to the site.

The CanGaroo is designed to envelop implantable cardiac devices, such as pacemakers, in extracellular matrix derived from pig tissue. Using a natural matrix, rather than the synthetic materials found in similar devices, also helps to reduce inflammation and the development of scar tissue at the site.

The CanGaroo ECM device recently received the CE Mark approval to market the device in the EU.
