CocoPallet Helps Reduce Deforestation

Nov-16-16 The sustainable export pallets from CocoPallet International are made from coconut waste instead of timber.

According to the company, five billion timber pallets are made each year, resulting in the loss of up to 500 million trees annually. To help reduce this deforestation, the CocoPallet is made from the abundant waste created by the coconut industry. This material is not only naturally pest-resistant, it also contains lignin which will act as a natural binder—eliminating the need for synthetic resins.
