Dexmo Exoskeleton VR Glove

Dexmo Exoskeleton VR Glove
Oct-02-16
Designed for use in virtual reality environments, the Dexmo exoskeleton glove lets users “feel” the shape and stiffness of objects.

The Dexmo glove differs from other VR gloves in that it relies on different amounts of torque, rather than vibration or electrodes, to deliver its touch simulation. The glove is lightweight enough to be worn for an extended time, and can capture the hand’s full range of motion to provide detailed force feedback, such as the sensation of squeezing a spongy object or pushing on a wall.

The Dexmo glove has been in development by Dextra Robotics for two years, and is the result of more than 20 different prototypes.
