DigniCap Reduces Hair Loss Due to Chemotherapy

DigniCap Reduces Hair Loss Due to Chemotherapy
Dec-11-15
Designed to help prevent hair loss during chemotherapy, the DigniCap cools the scalp to keep the damaging drugs from reaching the hair cells.

Recently receiving FDA clearance for use during breast cancer treatments, the DigniCap is meant to be worn on the patient’s head during the chemotherapy procedure. The system features a silicon cap equipped with channels that circulate coolant throughout the cap in a controlled manner, constricting the cells and reducing the uptake of drugs. The system is self-regulating and designed for patient comfort, and the caps can even be quickly disconnected from the machine for bathroom and other short breaks.
