The Duo coffer maker offers a twist on the French press by eliminating the coffee sludge at the bottom.
The dual-chamber, dual-filter Duo was inspired by company founder Jake Mille’s frustration with the sludge and grounds left behind when brewing French press coffee. To make a sludge-free cup, coffee grounds and hot water are added to the upper chamber and left to brew for a few minutes. After the appropriate time, the grains can be removed from the brew by twisting the unit and sending the coffee through the patent-pending dual filter and into a glass container.
Besides removing the grains for a smoother drink, the separation mechanism also allows the coffee to be kept in the Duo without over extracting the beans.
