The smart insoles from FeetMe could help to reduce amputations due to complications from diabetes.
The standard-looking insoles are equipped with pressure sensors that track the pressure of the user’s feet in real time. The results are transmitted via Bluetooth to a paired device, and can be easily interpreted using the companion app. The data can also be synced with the physician’s medical software, providing another source of information for patient treatment.
According to the developers, the FeetMe insoles can also be used by runners to help monitor stride patterns—reducing the potential for injuries while also improving performance.
