First Fully Flexible OLED

First Fully Flexible OLED
Jun-05-14
The OLED from Plastic Logic not only features an attractive display that can be completely wrapped around a person's wrist, it is also the first to be made with fully organic transistors.

The screen was created using Plastic Logic's flexible transistor technology, which involves manufacturing the transistor on a sheet of plastic that contains thousands of transistors. The result is a display that is flexible and practically indestructible, with 256 grey levels and 30fps image rendering. And since the screens can be made at low temperatures from common ingredients, they can be commercially manufactured using less energy and at a lower cost.
