Fizzics System Serves Better Beer with Sound Waves

Fizzics System Serves Better Beer with Sound Waves
Oct-11-16
The Fizzics tap system uses sound waves to make beer taste better.

The Fizzics system grew out of a desire to find a way to make store-bought beer taste as good as fresh beer, straight from the brewery. Users place an opened bottle or can of their chosen beer inside the Fizzics, insert the draft tube, and then seal the device. Pulling the handle forward allows the beer to be tapped as normal, until the glass is filled with the desired amount of liquid beer. Then the handle is pushed back, triggering the sound wave oscillations that agitate the carbon dioxide in the beer to create a thick, foamy head that enhances the taste and aroma of the brew.
