The Flux 3D printer brings 3D printing closer to the consumer market with its low price, array of functions and modular capabilities.
Already exceeding its funding on Kickstarter, the FLUX combines a printer, scanner and laser engraver into one unit—and gives the unit room to grow, as well. The device is easy to set up and, according to the designers, has unlimited room for expansion. Additional modules attach with magnets—no tools required. The FLUX is equipped with high resolution stepping motors for precision printing, and its built-in scanner lets users clone objects easily, a bit like a copy machine.
Other modules for the FLUX are currently under development, including an extruder for creating edible items.
