Gest Glove Controls Devices with Gestures

Gest Glove Controls Devices with Gestures
Nov-04-15
The sleek and wearable Gest glove lets users personalize how they control their computers while also offering a more intuitive format.

Offered by Apotact Labs, the Gest controller is made up of a pad that fits on the back of the hand and four stretchable half-rings that slip on the fingers. An array of fifteen sensors within the glove detects the fingers’ motion, while the thumb motions are inferred based on the collected data. The sensors allow the Gest to detect minute movements and gestures, and the system will learn the user’s unique movements over time and adapt.

The Gest’s first application will be for Adobe Photoshop, with out-of-the-box functions like pointing a finger to move the mouse and rotating 3D objects by “grabbing” them and turning your hand.
