Hypersuit Virtual Reality Exoskeleton Lets Wearers Fly

Hypersuit Virtual Reality Exoskeleton Lets Wearers Fly
Feb-02-17
The VR exoskeleton from Hypersuit lets wearers soar through the skies or under the seas.

The Hypersuit system is made up of an exoskeleton, VR headset, and movable platform. The wearer lies facedown on the platform—Superman-style—where they control their movement through the virtual world with their arm motions. The environments can range from flying to deep sea diving, and the team envisions the Hypersuit system also having applications in military training or physical therapy.

I'm no expert in this field whatsoever but can foresee the possibilities: mainly, virtual robot control. Robots in deep see excavation and rescue. Possibly even armed soldiers. Even further space exploration: put a robot in a capture and launch it until it lands, then take control of it to look around like a human and communicate or explore sometime in the future. A step in the amazing-direction!
