The Infinity deep brain stimulation system from St. Jude Medical offers a new treatment option for people with Parkinson’s disease.


Recently receiving FDA approval, the Infinity system features a DBS directional lead with segmented contacts that can be controlled individually to deliver personalized treatments. The system can be programmed via an iPad mini and controlled with an iPod touch, allowing the patient to have programming flexibility while also avoiding many of the side effects common in DBS.
