Nerdalize Heats Water with the Cloud

Jun-04-17 The Nerdalize system uses waste heat from computer servers to heat water in homes.

Computer servers in large data centers give off great amounts of heat that then must be dissipated, which also uses energy. To make the most of this waste heat, the Dutch company Nerdalize is offering homeowners the opportunity to have a server installed in their home. The waste heat from the server will be captured to heat water for household uses, saving both money and energy.

Currently, 42 Dutch homes are in the planning to have the servers installed.
