ReFlex Smartphone Bends to Flip Through Apps

Feb-19-16 The ReFlex flexible smartphone lets users interact with their apps by bending the phone to “flip” through the images.

Still in the prototype phase, the ReFlex consists of a multi-touch capable, LG bendable screen and a sensor able to detect how much the device has been bent. The user is able to ‘flip’ through the different screens by bending the right side of the screen down, much flipping the pages of a book. Bending the screen more sharply will flip the pages faster, and the system will also provide haptic feedback as the pages flip, which the team says allows for eyes-free navigation.
