Tiny, autonomous Rovables robots able to roam a person’s clothing could be used to signal incoming messages or create a turn signal when biking.
Developed by teams from MIT and Stanford, the tiny bots can travel on unmodified clothing, holding onto the fabric with magnetic gripping wheels. The Rovables are semi-autonomous, and could be programmed to self assemble into a turn light, tap the wearer if they have a message, or even tuck a scarf around the wearer’s neck.
