The SenseGO smartsocks pair with smartphones to help reduce the chances of diabetes-related amputations.
Created by a team from a team from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the socks are equipped with an array of tiny pressure sensors able to detect incorrect posture, overexertion, extreme pressure, and other factors that can contribute to food ulcers. That information is then sent to a paired smartphone running the companion app, allowing the wearer to receive an early warning before an ulcer can develop.
