With sky shelves I expect to see much free air on the floor. Robot vacuums and washers would have a barless going under furniture. One item might be a general mounting bar on the wall. Tables and especially shelves would be installed onto the bar.
Why not also at work? All knowledge workers would be given a laptop and a chair. Everyone builds a personalized working station around the chair.
