The smart insole, from a team at the University of Quebec, is embedded with pressure sensors able to measure the weight distribution of the wearer. When combined with an accelerometer mounted on the user’s safety hat, the system will detect incorrect lifting procedures and poor posture with a 95 percent accuracy.
