SpeedFlex Helmet Bends to Protect the Brain

The SpeedFlex incorporates several new safety features into its design, including a flexible face mask that attaches to the sides instead of at the brow and a chin strap that secures with a ratchet lock to ensure the helmet stays on during plays. The helmet's standout addition, however, is a flexible panel on the crown secured with a 'living hinge.' The area beneath the panel is padded with a propriety blend of polyurethane and synthetic rubber able to depress up to a quarter of an inch to reduce the force of the impact.
