Tesla Patents Laser Wipers

Dec-25-19 According to a new patent, Telsa may one day replace windshield wipers with laser beams.

The patent filed by Tesla describes a system of pulsed lasers and detection circuitry able to identify debris on the windshield and direct a laser to blast it away. According to the patent, the system would be able to tell the difference between unwanted debris and objects stuck to the window intentionally, such a logos or stickers. In addition to keeping car windshields clean, the system could also be used to remove grime from solar panels and the cameras relied upon by self-driving cars.
